The Machine Pistol is a Secondary Weapon Receiver available in Blacklight: Retribution.

Weapon Overview[]

The Machine Pistol is a low-damage, fully automatic secondary weapon. It has an extremely fast fire rate, having the highest of any secondary weapon in game, but suffers poor accuracy, has a high spread and recoil penalty.

As its damage is on par with the Submachine Gun, the Machine Pistol can be treated similarly to a second primary weapon, and is a good secondary for Agents using a longer ranged primary. It also has the highest ammunition count of all secondary weapons, rivaling the Primaries with a maximum ammunition count of 35/70 with the extended magazines.

Tactics[]

With a fire rate of 850 RPM, the Machine Pistol far exceeds any Primary Weapon Receiver except for the Tactical SMG. If not careful, trigger-happy agents may find their magazines all but empty within moments. It deals moderate damage with heightened spread but negligible at close ranges. Approaching from behind will yield a swift kill as your target will have little time, if any, to react. Sacrificing accuracy for speed, it is useful for quick takedowns and even quicker getaways.

With its superior firerate, agents with this weapon may find themselves at an advantage when confronting hostiles armed with other secondaries. Advance with confidence while firing this pistol and you are all the more closer to your kill. This weapon also is commonly used when having equipped a long range weapon such as a Bolt-Action Rifle especially when engaged at short range distances. Just remember to have a fresh cartridge and aim for the head.

Premade Variants[]

These premade versions of the Machine Pistol were purchasable as stand-alone weapons in the Marketplace before the Parity Patch on PC.

Trivia[]

  • The design of this gun is based on real life machine pistols such as the MAC-11, TEC-9, Steyr TMP, Uzi, and H&K MP7.
  • This gun shares a mix of traits like the slide mechanisms and features of a Kel Tec CP33, the general shape of a Calico M100, and some distinguishing features of a MP7. However, an in-game counterpart for the front half is the Silverwood SW-09 barrel, which ironically cannot be equipped on this weapon.
