Currently, when players gain Experience, this is applied to increase their level. With the February Update players can now reach level 100.
Upon reaching level 100 players have the option to return to level one and increase their Prestige Level by one.
There is no maximum Prestige Level and players can continue leveling as long as they complete matches and gain Experience.
The following rewards are available at the specified Prestige Levels:

Post Parity Blacklight: Retribution Levels Edit
The following information is from Blacklight: Retribution after the Parity Patch was released. A little unsure on some of the really early levels (<10) due to how fast they fly through.
As of the Parity Patch, levelling is now much faster, however there are significantly more levels that may be reached. The amount of XP required to reach each level increments as the level increases, making progress slower and slower towards the end. Experienced players may fly through the first few levels in just a number of games.
Original Blacklight: Retribution Levels Edit
The following information is from Blacklight: Retribution before the Parity Patch was released. It is no longer accurate and should be used for historical purposes only.
The following is a table of the amount of XP needed to achieve each level of Blacklight: Retribution . Only 30 missing levels!!!
The rewards for reaching a new level in the old system were free 3-day rentals of all gear unlocked at that level and the ability to rent or permanently purchase said gear with GP (Elemental Ammo not included).
